Gone Baby Gone

“Gone Baby Gone, ” Ben Affleck’s directorial debut, is nothing short of a masterpiece.  This film is an intense, gritty, REAL LIFE piece of work, encompassing some of the most difficult aspects of our civilization. Warning: If you are upset easily by the truth of how many people live, ie: in and around “the projects”, daily drug and alcohol abuse, and namely, missing and exploited children, this film may not be for you. If you can stomach these truths, I recommend watching this brilliant piece of work. The cast includes such notables as Casey Affleck, Morgan Freeman, Ed Harris, Michelle Monaghan and my personal favorite, Amy Ryan, who portrays the mother, Helene, with such spot on reality, I wanted to leap through the screen and strangle her!
